‘When troubles come your way, count it an opportunity for great joy’ – Damilola Mike-Bamiloye

Popular gospel filmmaker, Damilola Mike-Bamiloye has shared more insight on the staggering command extracted from the scriptures, James 1:2 ‘Count it all joy my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds…’ with a literal meaning that when one is faced with trials, one is not supposed to complain, fear, doubt, be angry  or be discontented

Instead, we are to consider it pure JOY when we fall into various trials even though it is so contrary to what we want to do in the midst of various trials. So often, we want to complain and moan and get frustrated when we find ourselves knee-deep in trials and tribulations. We feel like we simply can’t be happy until the trial is over. We want to get OUT of the trial as fast as possible.

However, Damilola Mike-Bamiloye shared an analogy of how uncomfortable mothers feel when their child/ren receives immunization. He further noted that even though the mother feels unease to see the baby in pains, the end result of the immunization is to help build the baby’s immune system against diseases.

At moments like this, the mother stays glued to the child, so also God is with us when we go through trials and tribulations. He also encouraged his followers the consider every of the trouble they are going though as joy for when they pass the tests before them, greater joy awaits them.

In his words; Parents, especially Mothers will agree with me that if they had the chance to receive their children’s immunization on their behalf, they would jump at it.

No mother likes to see her child cry yet they still make sure they get them immunized because they understand that the pain of the injection is nothing when compared to the pain and discomfort the child would go through if they fall sick. The vaccines help the child build immunity against diseases later on.

Our Heavenly Father knows and sees the pain you may be passing through. He understands how unpleasant that situation is but sometimes He allows it because He loves you and He wants the best for you.

Just the way the baby is never alone because a parent is always present so also you are not alone. God is with you. He feels your pain and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come ur way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For u know that when ur faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete,
