Earlier this year, the Ace cinematographer, Asiwaju Ben Ope Johnson got dragged for the filth by an upcoming camera operator for being unprofessional in his works yet dishing out advices on excellence in filmmaking, though the young filmmaker apologized and was forgiven by Ben Ope Johnson even before he tendered his belated apology note.

Weeks after, Ben Ope Johnson took to his Facebook page to share a news he received today that one of the movies he shot titled ‘Muzzled’ won an award at the London International monthly film festival.

He revealed he was awarded the project to work on as the Director of Photography following two recommendations by those who have seen his works and loved them. He appreciated the crew members and cast who worked together with him to make the project a success.

In his words; YES! WE WON INTERNATIONAL AWARD. I got the news this morning. The movie Muzzled which was shot in Nigeria and America got an award at London international monthly film festival. Waoh! waoh!! Honestly, this is beyond my dream. I was contacted through recommendation by two great American based Filmmakers to work as Director of Photography on the project. According to the executive producer, he said, “two people told me I should give you the job because you will give me an excellent job.”

Thank you Almighty God for crowing our efforts with great success. Thank you Owo and pastor Sola for the recommendation, I celebrate you guys. All Nigerian crew. Ben Ope Johnson is one of the top celebrated Director of Photography in Nigeria who has worked on many award and soul winning gospel and secular movies. He is also a consultant in filmmaking and a mentor to many cinematographers ruling ever possible sphere in filmmaking both home and abroad.
