A medical doctor identified as Dr. Vwaere Diaso has di€d after being in an elevator that reportedly cra§hed from the 10th floor of a building in Lagos.

According to reports, the tragic incident happened on Monday night, August 1, 2023. A source reports;,

“She completed her medical degree at Babcock University and had just two weeks to completing her housemanship at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island.

She had entered the elevator at the doctors’ quarters to collect her food from a dispatch rider who was waiting for her downstairs.

She was in the elevator when it cra§hed from the 10th floor to the ground. She was rushed to the emergency ward where she passed away.

We have been complaining about this malfunctioning elevator for the past one year and nothing was done about it.

This incident could have been totally avoided. It’s just sad she’s gone due to poor management and negligence.”

benbills007: Management is one of the big problems we have in this country..Even when the money is there to fix it,they rather put the money inside their pocket..Just sue that hospital abeg.

midnitewilly:  Hopefully the hospital will be charged but then again truth must be told.. Why do we risk our lives.. She knew the elevator wasn’t in good shape, why did she or any of you bother to use it on a daily..We need to start making better choices irrespective of the outcome.. May her soul rest in 🕊️.

priscillia_oluchi_’: Once again, words elude me! Why are we so negligent like dis for this country? Something is at fault, they won’t fix , no they have to wait until d!eing minute.

I would never understand this! The day I got stucked in an elevator with my friends 3yrs ago on ny birthday was just the last for me. Y’all can imagine being stucked in a lift with 6other people, there was no air, we space amongst us, trying to call our friends downstairs, they were not reachable, and nor be say Na all these big big lift ooo.

Everyone was already sweating profusely, we couldn’t even move. Everyone was screaming, me on the other one was already gasping for breath! It was just God who came to our rescue, it would have been a different story.

Till today, I haven’t been able to recover from that shock. I h@te lifts with passion. Rest easy sissy. 🕊️
