Twitter rival app, Threads hits over 60M sign ups; Fejosbaba, Jaymikee, Opeyemi Akintunde, Adeola Jerry-Oluwagbemi & others ‘hit the ground running’

Mark Zuckerberg’s new app, Threads is one of the trending conversations online as the new social media platform hits over 30M sign ups within 24hours.

Mark Zuckerberg who is the owner of famous social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram created the new app, Threads to rival, Twitter.

The new app, Threads looks similar to that of Elon Musk popular microblogging platform, Twitter.

Meta describes Threads which is now available on Play Store and Apple App Store as a “text-based conversation app”.

As at the moment of filling this content, Mark Zuckerberg and actor Will Smith both have the highest number of followers with 1.9million followers each.

Yesterday, July 6th, 2023, some gospel drama ministers stormed the platform to activate their accounts.

Joining the app, Opeyemi Akintunde wrote; “We are here ooo, Heavenly Father, we dedicate this page right here in the Name of God the Father, the Son and The HolySpirit.. We take this stage right here for Jesus . Impacting Novels, Movies, skits…Yes! On this space..”

He also projected what is likely to happen to the users of the new platform who are already addicted to Instagram and Twitter.

In his words; I speculate one of these things might happen:

1. IG folks get the hang of this app, eventually get bored and go back to photos and videos App.
2. They aren’t getting the Hang of it and go back to IG quicker.

3. Twitter folks are done test driving the app and discover its limitations (Eg no hashtags, trends), they eventually go back to Twitter.

4. they love the app but soon realize the users aren’t like twitter users because, you know, from IG. They eventually go back to Twitter. Let’s see
