Nollywood actor and musician, Yemi Ayebo better known as Yemi My Lover has called out Gospel singer, Tope Alabi for neglecting him after stardom.
The actor revealed that Tope Alabi was his apprentice in the movie industry in the 90s, but now that she has made it, he can’t remember any help she ever rendered to him.
Yemi My Lover claimed that Tope doesn’t even pick up his calls and didn’t acknowledge his birthday last year, despite him taking a letter to her office.
He added that some of these gospel singers have worse characters than regular people.
“Tope Alabi was my apprentice in the movie industry in the 90s. Now that she has made it, I can’t remember any help she ever rendered to me.
She doesn’t even pick up my calls. Last year when I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I personally took the invitation letter to her office but she neither came note send any gift to me.
She didn’t even wish me a happy birthday but I am not mad, that is her way of life. Some of these gospel singers have worse character man regular people”.
Tope Alabi mocks Adeyinka Alaseyori
Some weeks back, Tope Alabi was under serious fire and scrutiny after a certain video of her ministration went viral.
Tope Alabi could be seen in the company of her backup singers using a certain ‘word’ while ministering in church and has led traditional worshippers vibing to it and asking the gospel singer to identify with them.
The award-winning singer used the word ‘aboru aboye’, which is a popular phrase used by a particular sect of traditional worshippers to greet each other.
Tope Alabi kept emphasizing the word and while it has become viral with remix videos springing up, netizens have bashed her for using such a phrase in the church of God, while others queried her spirituality. Some however stated that the gospel singer just has a deep sense of Yoruba words.

Not again! Aboru Aboye yes is Yoruba language with a meaning and significant with Isedale (traditionalist).

I am yet to get over the Ajanaku story o, bcos Tope Alabi is someone I hold in high esteem when it comes to music and gospel and that story really disorganized or messed up my perception about her. Please let me recover fully from that.
