THE MESSAGE:
The hypocrisy of some Christian leaders has caused many believers to stumble the same way the hypocrisy of many Christians has distanced a lot of unbelievers to consider salvation and new converts to seek spiritual growth.
Hypocritical Christian! A supposed light to those in darkness had forgotten we are now the “bible” those in world around us read.
You keep preaching to brethren around you to wait on God and allow God to lead while we follow but your hands are tight on the wheel of your life. You say something that sounds humble, but your actual intent is prideful – You want to impress people with your humility. You are quick to criticize others and so often your true motive is not to correct and make things right-as much as it is to be seen and admired for your superior intelligence. You tear someone down with our gossip so you can feel superior but we justify our comments by saying we are doing this so that others may “pray more intelligently.”
Don’t let the sin of hypocrisy deceive you, damage the unbelievers around you, fall the believers you are leading and dishonor our glorious God! BE REAL & BE REAL WITH GOD!
PRAYERS: Lord Jesus! Cleanse us from the poison of hypocrisy that we invite into our lives and give us the confidence in you that we need to be the individual you made us to be.
