Famous gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey celebrates his darling wife’s birthday, Saranata as she marks a year older in grace.

The gospel artist, who could not totally express how much he loved his wife, sent a touching message on the photo-sharing app, Instagram.

Nathaniel Bassey showered her with praise and thanked her for her efforts in their marriage, referring to her as the “wife of his youth.”

He shared an exquisite image of Sarah Bassey and wrote:

“A Resounding Happy Birthday to the wife of my Youth and love of my life. @saranata00 – SARAH “HONEYWELL” BASSEY –
Thank you for the sacrifices and care”

He added, “May you work in the FULNESS of God’s will and plan for your life. May the LORD bless and Keep You, May He make His face to shine unto You.

‘We can’t keep sacrificing our people on the altar of negligence’ – Nathaniel Bassey reacts to the death of female doctor who died in an elevator at Lagos Hospital.

GFNG had earlier reported that a medical doctor identified as Dr. Vwaere Diaso on Tuesday, died at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island, after an elevator she took crashed.

According to findings, the hospital elevator that killed the late Diaso crashed from the 10th floor to the ground floor. It was also gathered that the late doctor was rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital for treatment but eventually died.

A colleague of Diaso, who craved anonymity, told our correspondent that the elevator had malfunctioned several times before now.

“On multiple occasions, the elevator has stopped while we were inside. And there’s no maintenance,” he said.

He also told our correspondent that the hospital management was aware of the poor state of the elevator but failed to act.

“We report every time. The elevator is supposed to carry 630kg maximum, that’s eight people.”

He stated that since the elevator started malfunctioning, the staff of the hospital started reducing the number of people in it every time to avoid congestion.

“Once you open the elevator and see two people already, you just have to wait for the next batch. It was faulty and they knew about it. That’s why we’re not going to take this,” he stated.

He disclosed further that the late Diaso had just two weeks left to the completion of her housemanship at the hospital, noting that she was a “very diligent house officer. She was very hardworking,” he said.

Reacting to this, Nigerian gospel singer and RCCG Youth Pastor, Nathaniel Bassey took to his Instagram page to condole with the family of Dr Vweare Diaso and also called on authorities to investigate and put adequate measures in place to another sad incident of such.

He added that Nigeria and its system should stop operating on negligence and mediocrity thereby subjecting the lives of her citizens to risks that could lead to avoidable disaster.

In his words;

To say I am pained by this news is an understatement. A purely avoidable event if things were done as they should. The untimely death of Dr Vweare Diaso, who died due to the crash of an elevator. I am really pained by this.

We can’t keep sacrificing our people on the altar of mediocrity and negligence.
More so, a young doctor that we barely have enough of.

This should be investigated and adequate measures put in place to prevent more painful outcomes like this. I pray for her family and loved ones. May they find strength even at this difficult time. Amen.

I would never understand this! The day I got stucked in an elevator with my friends 3yrs ago on ny birthday was just the last for me. Y’all can imagine being stucked in a lift with 6other people, there was no air, we space amongst us, trying to call our friends downstairs, they were not reachable, and nor be say Na all these big big lift ooo.

Everyone was already sweating profusely, we couldn’t even move. Everyone was screaming, me on the other one was already gasping for breath! It was just God who came to our rescue, it would have been a different story.

Till today, I haven’t been able to recover from that shock. I h@te lifts with passion. Rest easy sissy.
