Mayowa and Samuel were both graced with the undiluted power of God but the spirit of fear differentiates their trust in God when the Agbobi Community Goliath threatened death. Watch “SHADOWS OF DEATH”, see what fearlessness allures and fearfulness attracts.
Even though I walk through the VALLEY of the SHADOW of DEATH, I FEAR no EVIL. (PSALM 23:4)
Evil is real but it’s not a threat when the Shepard is with you. He has promised to be with you always and never leave you. God knows no one is perfect, that’s why he has liberally sprinkled encouragement against FEAR throughout the bible from Genesis to Revelation. God reminds us to “FEAR NOT”.
The key to overcoming fear is total and complete trust in God. Trusting God is a refusal to given in to fear, It is a turning to God even in the darkest times and trusting him to take charge.
Once we learn to put our trust in God we’ll no longer be afraid of the Goliath or challenges that may come our way.
Be like that confident Psalmist …let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for Joy. Spread your protection over them and those who love your name may rejoice in you. (Psalm 5:11)
