Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi has taken to twitter to mourn the death of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
The heartbreaking news filled the internet space after it was officially announced on the Fountain of Life Official Instagram page on the 8th of August, 2023.
Before his demise, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya lost his first wife, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya tragically in 2005 Sosoliso Plane crash at the age of 45.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya remarried and again lost his second wife, Nomthi to cancer in 2021.
He was blamed for his wives’ death and accused of being diabolic.
Weeks after, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya lost his twin sister.
A family source while speaking to The Nation reports that the clergyman had health issues, which were triggered by personal tragedies.
The source further claimed that he tried to be strong, but there can only be a limit to what a man can take.
Few hours ago, Pastor Sam Adeyemi who wrote a short tribute to him via his official twitter page said Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was an amazing leader who has launched many young ones into greatness.
He added that he was faced with a lot of challenges, yet he fought them with his unusual grace. He further prayed for the family of the deceased and the leaders of The Foundation of Life Church that God will comfort them.
In his words;
“What a loss for us on this side of eternity! We were shocked and saddened by the passing of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
However, we look from God’s perspective and choose to see Christ leading the reception party for a General of the Faith. He was an amazing leader who inspired many into greatness.
He faced adversity with unusual grace and was one of the kindest humans. His walk with God and love for others continue to inspire us greatly.
We pray for God’s deep comfort and strength for the Odukoya family, the leadership of The Fountain of Life Church, all members of the church, and all of us.”
‘I want to encourage you to keep the faith’ – Last post on social media by Pastor Taiwo Odukoya before his demise
According to a popular blog ‘Church Gist’, the late Pastor shared his last update on his social media space on the 31st of July, 2023 encouraging his followers to hold on to their faith as they embark on the month on August.
He further said that his followers should not give up on their dreams, rather they should keep pushing through prayers and hard work.
In his words;
“As we prepare to enter a new month, I want to encourage you to keep the faith! God has something great in store for you.
Don’t give up on your dreams, no matter how hard things may seem. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep working hard. You will definitely have a reason to celebrate! (31st July 2023)”
