Angry mob on Wednesday attacked an officer of Nigerian Police Force for allegedly crushing an innocent civilian.
The incident happened today, May 17, at Molipa road Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
According to eyewitness, a police van rammed into another vehicle during car chase, in an attempt to arrest the car owner who they suspected to be a yahoo boy.
The Police Officer reportedly confused the mechanic, who was taking a vehicle for repairs, for a fraudster. The driver sustained life treating injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Videos making the rounds, captured moment angry residents shattered Police van’s windshield, attacked the police officer.
According to reports, the suspected offender has been arrested and also escaped being lynched by the mob.
