‘I want to encourage you to keep the faith’ – Last post on social media by Pastor Taiwo Odukoya before his demise

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, is dead.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya’s death was announced on the official Instagram page of the church moments ago.

The church’s post reads thus:

“The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA.

“We are in total submission to you LORD!!!

“We thank the Lord for the gift of a great leader!!!”

Many social media users were shocked because the news came unexpected.

According to a popular blog ‘Church Gist’, the late Pastor shared his last update on his social media space on the 31st of July, 2023 encouraging his followers to hold on to their faith as they embark on the month on August.

He further said that his followers should not give up on their dreams, rather they should keep pushing through prayers and hard work.

In his words;

“As we prepare to enter a new month, I want to encourage you to keep the faith! God has something great in store for you.

Don’t give up on your dreams, no matter how hard things may seem. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep working hard. You will definitely have a reason to celebrate! (31st July 2023)”

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya marks one-year remembrance of his late wife, Nomthi Odukoya

Recall that months ago, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya marked the one-year remembrance of his late wife, Nomthi Odukoya who passed away on November 9th, 2021 after years of battling cancer.

Marking her one-year remembrance, Pastor Taiwo took to his official Instagram page to pay tribute to his late wife.

He noted how the late Nomthi Odukoya was a gift to the world.

The clergyman expressed gratitude to God for the times they spent together as he admitted that he still misses her.

“You were truly a gift, never to be forgotten. I am forever grateful to God for the life we shared. I miss you Nomthi”.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya Loses Second Wife To Cancer

Nomthi Odukoya, the second wife of Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has passed on.

This was made known on Tuesday in a post Pastor Taiwo made via his Instagram handle.

Nomthi, who is the second wife of the pastor, died of cancer after battling with it for two years.

Taiwo wrote, “With deep regret and gratitude to God, I have to announce the passing of my wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.

”She battled cancer for the better part of two years, she stood on the Word of God, and she fought.

“She gave me 11 beautiful years of marriage and two wonderful boys, who I know will be very significant in life.

“I loved her with all my heart, but who am I to fight with the will of God.

The truth is, at one point in our lives, we all will have to say goodbye. So for now, till we meet again in glory, Goodbye Nomthi.”

In January 2020, Nomthi and Taiwo who are both senior pastors of the church, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.

Taiwo’s first wife, Bimbo, died in a place crash. She boarded Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145, bound for Port Harcourt from Abuja.

BIMBO ODUKOYA

On 10 December 2005 the airliner crashed during landing at Port Harcourt International Airport; Bimbo survived the initial impact and died from injuries on 11 December 2005.
