The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye has reacted to the unfair killings of the #EndSARS peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday, 20th of October, 2020.
According to Pastor E.A Adeboye in his tweet, he condemned attacks launched on unarmed young people who have been protesting for more than 10 days peacefully. He further called on Federal Government to investigate the tragic events that happened yesterday, 20th of October, 2020 and give justice to the victims who were killed and injured.
He therefore appealed to the youths to also allow peace to reign and avoid any embarking on mission that will leave the Military no choice than to react belligerently.
He shares;
I condemn in the strongest possible terms, attacks launched by the Nigerian military on unarmed young people, who have been peacefully protesting police brutality over the last 12 days as #EndSARS protests.
I call on the Federal Government to thoroughly investigate the tragic events at Lekki and other parts of the country, give justice to all victims even as it engages the #EndSARS protesters to reach a common agreement to end police brutality.
I am also appealing to the Youths to allow peace reign & stop any form of action that would give the Military any other form of excuse to attack. May the peace of God come upon our nation, now more than ever in JESUS name (Amen)
