‘I APOLOGIZE, IT WAS MY INNOCENT WAY OF INTERPRETING THE ROLE’, DOYIN HASSAN REACTS AS NIGERIANS SAY THEY ARE SCARED OF HIM OVER HIS MOVIE ROLES.

Gospel Filmmaker and president of El-GIBBOR Ministries International, Prof. Doyin Hassan has reacted after a lady tweeted his picture with the caption “this man scared shit out of me as a child, there was nothing anyone could tell me”.

This tweet went viral as may screen grabbed and uploaded it on their timelines attracting comments similar to the first tweet user that Doyin Hassan’s role in the movie “Captives of The mighty” got them scared when they viewed the movie as kids.

Some users funnily commented to have not forgiven Iguana for breaking Mabel’s flowerpot, recalled his lines in this very scene and some said his face brings back the memory of the role he played anytime they see him.

However, Prof. has taken to his Instagram page to apologize to those that got scared of his in Captives of the mighty (2000) and also used the medium to encourage people to do good as people find it hard to forget the bad.

He wrote;

“God is faithful. For those who are scared of my role in Captives of the Mighty (Iguana 2000) I apologize. It was my innocent way of interpreting the role. Its all acting. I thank God for the Holy Spirit that I am alive, hale and hearty on my feet.

It was such overwhelming comments that made Christopher Lee hang himself. He felt bad that people hated him for the role he played in a horror movie.

I’ve acted in a handful of gospel messages, but people don’t forget the negative roles. I played Natas in the Heretic in 1985/86. No Cassette, No VCD then. See how one’s past can impact on future generations? It was just acting….but the comments really scared me! Thanks”.
