The founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Evang. Mike Bamiloye has challenged his Facebook followers who are always afraid especially when the devil scares them.
In a lengthy post made on his Facebook page, the actor noted that God gives instruction per time and he expects his children to follow it.
Relating his message tagged “why are you afraid”?, the gospel quote Mark 4-39-40, Matthew 8:25-26 from the Bible where a storm attacked the boat Jesus and his Disciples were in.
According to Mike Bamiloye, it was Jesus’ plan to use the boat and crossed the sea therefore any challenges that posed during the process should have been ignored because it was Jesus will and command his disciples followed.

“WHY ARE YOU AFRAID?”
Mark 4:39-40 NKJV
[39] Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
[40] But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”
Exodus 14:15 NKJV And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
Have you noticed that when Jesus rose up in the boat and rebuked the wind, it was not only the wind He rebuked? He first rebuked the Disciples and then turned around to rebuke the wind.
WHY? HE REBUKED THEM FOR WAKING HIM UP FROM HIS SWEET REST. HE REBUKED THEM FOR DISTURBING HIM UNNECESSARILY. HE REBUKED THEM FOR DISTURBING HIS PEACEFUL SLEEP.
You wonder again why it was wrong for the disciples to go and wake up Jesus? The storm was raging violently and pouring heavy waters into the boat and was threatening to upturn the boat, yet Jesus was enjoying His rest.
When they could not cope with the threat of the wave, they rushed to Jesus and woke Him up. He stood up immediately and rebuked the wind and there was calmness.
Matthew 8:25-26
[25] Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
[26] But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
WHY DID JESUS REBUKE THE DISCIPLES FOR WAKING HIM UP? Come to think of it….WAS IT EVER POSSIBLE FOR THAT BOAT TO SINK?
WAS IT EVER POSSIBLE FOR JESUS TO DROWN? WAS IT EVER POSSIBLE FOR THE DISCIPLES TO PERISH IN THE SEA WHILE JESUS WAS INSIDE THE BOAT WITH THEM?
I laugh…….Because, if that Boat should sink with Jesus and His disciples, probably, He wanted to go and visit under the sea and see some of His marine creations and come back up again with the disciples. Afterall, He walked upon the sea and He could walk under the sea also.
Oh-o-o-o-o! NO WONDER JESUS CHRIST SAID: “Why are you fearful? O you of little faith?” No wonder Jesus Christ rebuked them for coming to wake Him up.
It was not necessary to call upon Jesus at that time. They should have allow the bullying and raging wave to do its worst.
And what worst could the raging storm do? Would it drown Jesus with the Disciples? Would it destroy the Maker of Heaven and Earth? Would the creature kill its Creator?
Absoluteeeeeely Impossible!! Or Indelibly Impossi-can’t!!! That was why Jesus Christ first rebuked the Disciples before rebuking the wind.
BECAUSE THEIR FEAR WAS BASELESS.
THERE ARE TIMES YOU ALLOW THE DEVIL TO DO HIS WORST….BECAUSE, HIS RAGING AND BRAGGING WAS TO INSTILL FEAR INTO YOUR HEART AND CAUSE YOU TO MOVE AGAINST GOD.
IT IS THE WILL OF GOD FOR US TO CALL HIM IN THE TIME OF TROUBLES, BUT DEFINITELY NOT WHEN OUR FEAR IS BASELESS.
First,…It was Jesus who told the Disciples to let them cross to the other side.
So, it was Jesus who gave them the permission with His presence to embark on that journey.
So once He is on that project, or program or journey with you, EVERY FEAR AROUND THAT THING IS BASELESS.
If you are where He asked you to be, and doing what He asked you to do and moving at His instructions and orders…
ANY BRAGGING AND RAGING THAT COME AS A RESULT OF THAT INSTRUCTION IS FROM THE DEVIL, AND EVERY FEAR OF YOURS IS BASELESS
At times, instead of PANIC when you have obeyed the Lord, and the devil is roaring at you, threatening to disgrace and embarrass you, you should go on PICNIC.
At times, some vigils and fasting are not necessary, BECAUSE IT AMOUNTS TO WAKING UP OUR RESTING LORD.
That was exactly what the Lord said to Moses, when the Egyptian Army were pursueing them to the bank of the Red Sea.
It was God who led the people to that spot by the Red Sea and there was no way forward, so they camped by Sea-side.
But When the Egyptians were approaching, they began to panic and Moses cried unto God. And God said:
Exodus 14:15 NKJV
And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
He told them to go forward into the sea, because He would do what no one had ever done. He wanted to create an expressway amidst the sea.
He wanted to elevate the depth of the sea and bring it up for Isreal to walk over. He wanted to divide the waters and freeze the walls of water on their left and right side.
THAT WAS WHY HE BROUGHT THEM TO THAT SPOT. HE WANTED TO DO WONDERS.
Eh-e-e-eh! listen to me!!!!!! WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD…THEN, YOU CAN DARE THE DEVIL TO DO HIS WORST!
WHAT CAN HE DO? WILL HE DESTROY THE WILL OF GOD?? WILL HE DESTROY YOUR LIFE THAT IS HIDDEN IN CHRIST? WILL HE EMBARRASS YOU WHEN JESUS IS INSIDE THIS BOAT WITH YOU? WILL HE BRING SHAME UPON YOU WHEN YOU ARE SITTING TIGHT INSIDE THE WILL OF GOD?
In John 11, when Lazarus was sick unto Death and his sisters Mary and Martha sent for Jesus to come over quickly and heal him, Jesus did not respond to their immergency call.
He continued doing His work. He stayed two more days where He was. After few days He announced that Lazarus was dead.
By the time He got to Bethany, the village of Lazarus, the body was already dead for four days and decomposing with horrible stench.
THE DEVIL HAD DONE HIS WORST. Then,,,,,, Jesus took over from that point and still brought Lazarus out of the grave.
In John 12, Lazarus became very famous in Bethany and a lot of people came to Bethany to see the man who died for four days and was raised up.
THE DEVIL AIMED TO EMBARRASS HIM, BUT JESUS TURNED IT TO HIS SUDDEN ELEVATION AND PROMOTION.
When you are sitting tight in the will of God….YOU CAN DARE THE DEVIL TO DO HIS WORST.
The Lord said we should call upon Him in the time of trouble and He will deliver us…BUT…..
IF JESUS IS INSIDE THE BOAT WITH YOU, YOU CAN NOT SINK!!!!
