Over the years, technology has revolved our world and daily lives. At our finger tips, we can access information through multifunctional devices created by technology such as smart watch, smart phones, and computers to mention few.
However, this advancement did not exclude the film production aspect as many movies and skits are barely available on discs but accessible on media platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
The demand for gospel films on disc has drastically reduced since young and old now have access to YouTube to download movies and also share with their loved ones.
Just this morning, Evang. Paul Esupofo Oriade (SEDMI) went live to discuss the walkthrough of YouTube which included how to grow a YouTube Channel and what it takes to make it grow.
During the discussion, Evangelist Femi Adebile and Lady Evang. Toyin Fatunsin joined the live interaction as they also dish out concepts via the comment section to producers and ministers of the gospel on how to gain more subscribers and what it takes to make token from videos uploaded on YouTube.
During this discussion, Femi Adebile popularly known as FejosBaba shared his testimonies and also the challenges a YouTube channel owners may encounter when building one. He advised ministers of the gospel to build their own online audience and not be left behind because as time goes on DVD will no longer be relevant and might not even be on sales.

It was then I knew that YouTube is more than uploading movies and sharing links
I have 10k sub’s now and have not started earning because earning was not my mind set

The way we release films offline is different from online
To grow you have to at least 3 contents a week

So producers have to sit up
Not for earnings alone
But at least for souls…..
Because even the street tours I do is not making sales before

So we need to begin to create our audience from now because very soon
DVD will not be on sales again
Then finally not all drama ministers can have a YouTube channel
YouTube its a calling! A calling! A passion
Not All faith based film makers can have it
I started in 2013
So those who has no passion for it can give others their content
Them online audience are different from our normal audience
You have to be a wise content creator to balance up entertainment with evangelism
Try and be ready for some little changes in your content and not changing your message
Use tags that are trending! Google trends will help

There are a lot of powerful movies addressing so many issues including the present COVID-19 on YouTube. The more you watch the more you know that drama messages are out there addressing so many issues
So therefore the bitter truth is every channel can not grow at the same time. It’s good to support each other but then just like every other thing you need patience to grow a channel if you want to maintain your channel
To grow a channel, you can do slow and steady or you can upload some other people contents especially Mount Zion and your subscription will jump. This has some consequences as YouTube is getting stricter on copyright issues
I’m talking about uploading movies not just to watch movies. Having a personal channel will enable us to reach an audience…a targeted audience. Your channel might not reach everyone but there are people God has sent you to reach
I can’t say this how much stipend I’m giving per title. They pay based on total views and when it reached a certain level. Prices varied from countries here the minimum you will be paid out us 70€ it might take several months to get to that threshold depending on views of eligible movies
Ministerially YOUTUBE is a tool, our content is 99.9% our ministry own and lots of testimonies follow. We have made great contact by our consistency and that way they know us with our ministry name. So identity is key for a drama ministry that want to reach souls. Being on YouTube is SOUL WINNING to us so it’s purely EVANGELICAL
One day I’ll share the testimony of our YouTube channel. It has enable us to reach many souls and has brought many blessings to us. I am not talking about monetization alone ooo…I’m talking about God using you to meet the world needs then he will also meet your needs through the same channel.
I started my YouTube channel in Nigeria in 2009, I was not aware of growing channel then but with continuous uploading of movies when I moved to Spain I continued and I didn’t know how to grow it. I didn’t know when people subscribed until some years back when I made some discoveries
