Biography of Late Gospel Actor, Folasade Aina
Folasade was born to Chief Adekoya Olunuga in Ijebu Ode on August 9, 1967.
Because of her exquisite birth, Chief (Mrs) Ebunola Olunuga, her mother, gave her the affectionate name Modupe. She wrote a beautiful song, which she frequently performed as an act of thanksgiving.
Her official schooling began in 1973 at St David’s School in Kudeti, Ibadan, where she was known as “Sade fine fine” when she was young.
From 1979 until 1985, she studied at Adeola Odutola College in Ijebu Ode.
At the Ogun State Polytechnic in Abeokuta (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Sade studied mass communication.
The Lagos State University awarded her a postgraduate degree. She was a well-rounded student who performed well in both social and academic endeavors. From 1996 to 1997, she completed her National Youth Service at the N.N.P.C. in Lagos.
Following that, she worked for a time as a businessperson at the Flour Mills of Nigeria PLC, Apapa.
In 2009, Mrs. Folasade Aina began working for the Lagos State Judiciary, where she remained until her death.
At Adeola Odutola College in Ijebu Ode, Sister Sade, as she is affectionately known by her friends, first met the love of her life.
However, her relationship with Bro. Olugbenga Aina, a man she fondly referred to as “a man of peace”, started when they met again at the Christian Fellowship of the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
On June 1st, 1996, the two lovers were united in marriage at St. David’s Church in Kudeti, Ibadan. The union is blessed with three sons and a daughter.
Prior to the husband receiving the Lord’s Call and becoming the set man over The Reconciliation and Restoration Chapel with the wife beside him, Pastor & Mrs. Aina were members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.Pastor (Mrs) Aina found her passion in the drama ministry.
She attended the Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama in 2005. She has performed in several evangelical movies and stage dramas.
Sade was an active member of the All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM) and one of the elders of the Lagos State Chapter.
She started “AKİYÈSÍ”, a transformational piece on Facebook that has blessed many, far and wide. Testimonies abound on repairs to broken lives and homes.
Folasade was a role model to many who crossed her path. She was simple and forthright. She loved God! She transited to glory on Wednesday, 19th October 2022.
