A banner with Davido’s photo has been set ablaze by Muslims in Maiduguri.
This is coming after the singer was called out for sharing a music video of his new signee, Logos Olori, praying and dancing with people dressed in Islamic outfit in front of a mosque.
After many Muslims complained that the tweet was rude and disrespectful because a mosque is not a dance club, Davido gave in to criticism and deleted it.

Popular Kannywood actor, Ali Nuhu has reacted to the video posted by Afrobeats superstar, Davido on behalf of his new signee, Logos Olori.
Davido ignited outrage on Saturday after tweeting a new music video for Logos Olori, which was met with harsh criticism, particularly from Muslims who found the content “offensive and disrespectful” to their religion.
The video showed a group of men dressed in white ‘jalamiya’ praying before transitioning into dancing in front of a mosque.
He wrote; “Allow me to re-introduce, @logosori with his new single “Jaye Lo”… Lets Run It Up one time! Let’s take over the world.”
His tweet, however, did not go over well with Muslim believers since the video’s content was deemed disrespectful to Islam.
Many swore to cease downloading his tracks, while others threatened to mete out justice themselves if he did not remove the video and apologize.
Ali Nuhu also took to his Instagram page to express his disapproval and urged the singer to delete the video amd apologize immediately.
He wrote;
“I just came across the controversial video posted by @davido, as much we want to be creative in our various fields we should learn to respect other people’s religion, culture and tradition.
This is totally unacceptable in Islam. You should pull down that video and apologize for hurting the entire Muslim ummah.”

Ali Nuhu, a popular Kannywood actor, has made a U-turn and ‘uncanceled’ his engagement to Nigerian musician Davido for removing the contentious music video.
Ali Nuhu was among those who spoke out against Davido’s new signee Logos Olori’s controversial song video. Nuhu posted a photo of the DMW label boss holding a cancel sign and stated that the behaviour depicted in the video was “totally unacceptable in Islam.”
In a new twist, Ali Nuhu asked for peace from other offended Muslims and his supporters while sharing a photo of Davido and thanking him for removing the video.
He wrote, “Thank you for deleting that post @davido, to everyone who felt offended by his post please let sleeping dogs lie. Let love lead, I am̲ personally not against anyone but Please I am appealing to all my fans to desist from any dragging, abuse or insult. Thanks”.
